Prepare to freak out with American Horror Story: Freak Show.

Creator Ryan Murphy of Glee and Nip/Tuck fame took to Twitter recently to announce the new subtitle for season four of the anthology series American Horror Story(AHS).

Freak Show will be set in 1950s Jupiter, Florida with show frontrunner Jessica Lange as the manager of one of the last freak shows in the US. Her group of ‘freaks’ will include returning cast members Kathy Bates, Sara Paulson, Evan Peters, Emma Roberts, Angela Basset, and Frances Conroy.

Even though American Horror Story just ended its third season, the show is already a cult classic. Maybe it’s the writing or the powerhouse cast that draws in viewers, but the true genius of the show is the plot lines. Unlike other shows that become stale as the seasons drag on and on, each season of AHS has a completely different story line. The first season was about a haunted house, the second about an insane asylum, and the third season revolved around a group of witches. By introducing new characters and story lines each season, the show is able to stay fresh and keep the audiences more entertained. It also makes it easier for new viewers to jump on board without confusion.

Freak Show will air this October on the FX channel.
