Fiiz Drinks Makes Its Texas Debut
After making the decision to expand across the country, soda drink shop FiiZ Drinks moved south to make its Texas debut in December.
The new Spring, Texas franchise is located at the Shops at Hillcrest center on Spring Cypress. Fiiz, which was founded in Utah in 2014 and currently also has stores in Idaho, Colorado, and Nevada, specializes in unique drink combinations and snacks. For Texas, this includes sodas, smoothies, freezes, nachos, and more. Fiiz also created an exclusive item for Texas, which they call the “chonut”, a combination of churros and donuts.
“Could be very dangerous to have you just around the corner from us!,” community
member Ginger Williams commented on Facebook. “Can’t wait for the opening!”
An app is currently available for mobile ordering, and the store hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., where they will offer amenities such as music and wi-fi access.
“We have received outstanding love and support from the community and are beyond
excited to meet everyone,” marketer Enrique Paz said. “The store has been branded and
designed for the Texas audience. It also offers complimentary wi-fi, music, and television.”
Since the opening, Klein ISD students have flocked to the new hangout spot to catch up with friends and get a bite to eat.
“I loved the atmosphere – they have a mix of modern and vintage,” senior Sophia Pallavinci said. “I ordered the ‘Drama Queen’ [drink], which was Mountain Dew with green apple, raspberry, and strawberry. I would recommend it, it was very delicious!”
When Fiiz started their interview process, they mainly interviewed teenagers in the Klein area.
“I love working at Fiiz because it’s a really fun environment, it’s really chill,” senior Fiiz employee Sophie Cross said. “Sometimes we watch movies while we’re working and it kinda lifts the mood of the work environment.”
When they’re not, The young employees spend a lot of their time trying drinks from Fiiz’s extensive menu and forming close bonds with their fellow employees.
“I love the TruFru, which is like frozen, chocolate covered fruit,” Cross said. “You can never go wrong with one of the pretzels, though. They’re so good.”
