The boys’ track team won districts for the first time in Klein High’s history. Sealing their names in the legacy of Klein.
They won Districts with an overall total of 124 points, 26 points higher than the second-place team.
For the team, the district win came with little surprise, but it was still a hard-earned victory.
“I was very excited,” junior Cole Harris said. “I had just finished running the four by four, where we placed second so we kinda knew but being in that environment and finding out we won was exciting.”
In order to achieve this first in Klein High History, the boys’’s track team and coaches pushed each other as educators and as teammates.
“We as coaches push our athletes to become better through technique,” track coach Clint Feuerbach said. “Skill specific training, general speed and agility training, and strength and explosiveness training and development.”
From off the field to right before their events, the team prepared itself to show up and show out.
“I prepare myself with music and pray to God,” senior Alexander Potra said. “When I’m running and it feels like my body has had enough, that’s when I have to push a little harder.”
As the 2025 track season comes to a close, the moments together as a team brought the boys together and created lasting memories.
“So many individual memories of great performances but in general just seeing this group come together as a team, believe in themselves and each other, buy into the ‘get better every day’ mentality, and never give up in the face of adversity was awesome to see,” Feuerbach said. “It was a fantastic season and one that will forever be remembered at Klein High as the first time a boys track team won the district championship.”
