Klein ISD welcomed two members to the Board of Trustees last month.

Cathy M. Arellano ran unopposed in her re-election bid for Position 6 on the Board.

“I enjoy working with our amazing district leadership to ensure that our shared vision comes true for every student,” Arellano said.

Rob Ellis claimed Position 7 in his race against Mary Crosby, Maria Hartmann, Rebekah Schlichting, and James Wang, beating out the runner-up, Maria Hartmann, by just 2.4 percent of the vote.

“As a father of five young kids, I am particularly committed to keeping our KISD schools great,” Ellis said, “I am excited to work with the board to help every student and every teacher in the district.”

Many students, like junior Klay Beckett, anxiously await Ellis’s arrival.

“[Ellis] is a hardworking and very intelligent man who will do everything in his power to make the district the best it can be,” Beckett said.
